    In The Back

    In 2024 Marshall and Patta brought back the Emberton II in a unique design inspired by Sound-system culture. For us, the story behind this campaign is “Louder For The People In The Back!” – a platform where we explore the sense of authenticity and community within the musical and creative scene inherited from Marshall and the Caribbean boombox culture.

    Celebrating Sound 
    System Culture

    In celebration of Marshall’s upcoming partnership with Patta, Samutaro, and Liam Bailey,  explore London’s key record stores to uncover the knowledge and history behind this vital movement.

    Sound system culture first sprung up in Britain in the 1950s, but its lasting impact on UK music has spread across generations of sounds and scenes ever since. From the early days of ska and reggae at blues dances in West Indian households to illegal warehouse raves in the 80s, the 90s jungle movement, and Notting Hill Carnival, sound system culture is an integral part of the UK’s vibrant musical landscape.

    A Day In NYC 
    With Babyxsosa

    Marshall and Patta join forces to amplify the sounds of their
    favourite emerging artists, this time putting the spotlight on Babyxsosa.

    Community is at the heart of her work, a key pillar to the free-spirited musician’s journey. We caught up with Babyxsosa to discuss her beginnings, her music, and the creative energy that drives her from graphic design to show business. That day, we walked with her to some of the city's most meaningful spots, including her old neighborhood, and stopped by grillz legend Eddie Plain’s family home to get her own custom set.
